Mission: Read Aloud Norfolk promotes healthy, successful children and families through reading aloud.  We do this by fostering school and community efforts that help develop lifelong readers.

What We Do: Read Aloud Norfolk works to educate parents and others about the importance of reading aloud to children.  We coordinate and/or support such programs as Read to Your Bunny at Faith Regional Hospital, the Children’s Day Festival and Prime Time Family Reading Time.  We provide thousands of books each year to needy children as a distributor through the First Book National Book Bank in Washington, D.C. and help provide read-aloud experiences in collaboration with the Norfolk Public Schools and US92.

Population Served: Read Aloud Norfolk serves families with children of all ages, particularly those with financial need.  Most of our programs are geared to serve families throughout northeast Nebraska.

Our Wish List: Read Aloud Norfolk welcomes financial support to help purchase books.  We also welcome volunteer readers throughout the year and volunteers for our Children’s Day Festival.
