Mission: Our mission is to promote the physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being of adolescents.
What We Do: “The Zone Afterschool Program” is a proactive, community-based, after-school program targeting 7th through 12th graders in Norfolk, Nebraska. The Zone provides a safe place for area youth to come after school, receive a healthy snack, connect with adult mentors, receive homework support, strengthen social skills, character and have fun. The after-school program focuses on six program areas: education, enrichment, health and wellness, community involvement, leadership, and special activities. The ultimate goal of the program is to motivate at-risk youth to graduate from high school and to develop into healthy, productive adults.
Population Served: 7th – 12th grade youth in Norfolk, Nebraska
Our Wish List: Volunteers who want to share their time, talents or treasures. The Zone also appreciates gift cards to Wal-Mart, Hy-Vee, Hobby Lobby, and The Downtown Coffee House to support programming needs and incentives.
