Students at Jefferson are going to create tie blankets to be distributed to children and the elderly in the community. Mentor Organization: Norfolk Morning Kiwanis Club

May 2013 Update:  The students have completed making 91 blankets and have distributed them to students at Jefferson Elementary, the Norfolk Veterans Home and the Madison House.  The kids involved in this project said:

• “We are proud to help others.”
• “We had fun while making a difference!”
• “We made people feel important! Hard work pays off!”
