Mission:  The mission of the Northeast Nebraska Humane Society is to provide shelter and to seek permanent adoptive homes for homeless animals.  In addition, the Society will provide education promoting humane care, and the spaying and neutering of pets.

What we do:  Provide a physical shelter facility for homeless and abandoned animals (dogs, cats and other small animals).  Provide a public education program to improve the quality of life in the Northeast Nebraska region by helping abandoned or unwanted animals to find new and loving families.

Area Served:  Madison and surrounding counties (Pierce, Cuming, Antelope)

Number of Staff: We plan on having 1 full time and 2 part time

Number of Regular Volunteers: 25

How we are governed: We are run by a board of 12 who are elected to 3 year terms.
